Imitation de Jesus Christ. Paris: Gruel Engelmann, 1885.
This sumptuous facsimile edition of the Imitatio Christi made in Paris in 1885 contains a fine example of silk doublures - a decorative lining of deep blue watered silk, bordered with intricately gold-tooled brown morocco. This art was brought to perfection in Persia during the fifteenth century.
