Clare Ferguson (1946-) is a food stylist and culinary expert of international repute and author of more than 20 cookery books. The youngest sister of Alison Holst, Ferguson (née Payne) attended Otago Girls’ High School from 1960-63.

Her work as a food stylist involves finding perfect food and preparing it for the camera – for advertisements, packets, magazine features and books, including her own.

A colourful personality, Ferguson has travelled widely as a food columnist, consultant, broadcaster, commentator, and guest chef. She has been food editor for Elle and She magazines and has made many television appearances as a celebrity chef.
