- Keedwell Sisters

Three sisters who attended Otago Girls’ High School during the 1950s-60s are the Keedwell sisters: Mary (1954-57), Nancy (1956-59), and Helen Keedwell (1958-62).
All three sisters went on to become published authors under their married names. Mary Browne is an author of popular cookery books, Nancy Tichborne is a noted watercolour artist, and youngest sister Helen Leach is a prominent anthropologist whose research has a culinary focus.
