Leon Gordon (1894-1960) was an English-born playwright, actor and director best known for writing White cargo (1923) a successful London and Broadway play set in a rubber plantation in the African jungle. In 1942, Gordon’s play was adapted into an MGM movie of the same name, starring Hedy Lamarr.
